Click fraud, it's out there


With the recent outcry of click fraud I think it is interesting how people have suggested that the way to go selling advertising on an impression basis. There were many who threw their arms in despair at such a suggestion, however you need only poke your head out the window and it is occuring all around.
You see that billboard across the road?? Well, an advertiser has paid for that on an impression, or viewing, basis. There is no hyperlink in that billboard, merely an advertisement designed to provoke some action.
So what if there is a growing number of net users with ad-blindness, I am sure there are far more people in the offline world who are suffering this terrible disease.

If there is a buck to be made advertising, advertisers will find a way.
